Bravura Duo: Karolina Radovani, violin & Daniel Nix, bass www.bravuraduo.com www.facebook.com/bravuraduo.stringduet www.instagram.com/bravura_duo The Moldau (Vltava) is the second and most popular movement of Má Vlast (My Country), a set of six symphonic poems completed between 1874 and 1879 by the Czech composer B. Smetana. A deeply patriotic work, it depicts the flow of the Vltava River, capturing the composer’s love of his homeland. Because of its enduring appeal, The Moldau is frequently performed by symphony orchestras worldwide, as well as featured in film soundtracks, such as The Tree of Life (2011) by Terrence Malick.

O Joy that seeks me through pain, I cannot close my heart to thee; I trace the rainbow through the rain, And feel the promise is not vain, That morn shall tearless be.
