 Daniel
Nix is
an American born
Double Bass
virtuoso
and teacher currently residing in British Columbia, Canada. Daniel studied
as the only private pupil and
protégé of
the world famous soloist,
Gary Karr.
He has appeared as orchestral soloist and recitalist all over North America
and Europe, including several live television and radio broadcasts.
Daniel’s orchestral affiliations include the Victoria Symphony, Victoria
Chamber Orchestra, and critically acclaimed iPalpiti Orchestral
Ensemble of International Laureates, which performs regularly in the most
prestigious concert halls throughout the world. Daniel maintains a
strong interest in performing music of contemporary composers. He is
largely accredited for his collaboration with famed English composer, Gavin Bryars.
